With International Women’s Day 2020 just around the corner, there’s no better time to acknowledge the drive and determination of three adventurous ladies at Window Ware who are each taking on physical challenges to raise money for charity.

Our Manager Director, Sam Nuckey, Executive Assistant, Emma Darlow and Sales Co-ordinator, Oliva Dalton are all taking part in separate fund-raising activities over the coming months to make a difference for deserving causes and have a positive impact on others.

First up is Emma who will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon at the end of March to raise money for Sue Ryder. She’s already been tempting sweet-toothed colleagues in the office with a delectable array of doughnuts, chocolates and sweets in exchange for a small donation. She’s equally happy to accept calorie-free donations through her JustGiving fundraising page.

Then on 21st June, Olivia will be leaving her sales desk behind and donning her hiking boots to climb up Snowdon at midnight to raise money for Marie Curie, a charity which offers care and support for people living with terminal illnesses, and their families. If you’d like to support Olivia in her high altitude adventure, please visit her fund-raising web page to donate.

Last but not least, Sam will be joining 11 other industry ladies this August to take part in GM Fundraising’s women-only charity event called Peak, Paddle, Pedal to raise money for Hope House Children’s Hospices. Over the course of 8 days, she’ll attempt to ascend & descend Snowdon, kayak 150 miles & cycle 150 miles – phew! If we can impose upon your generosity for a third time, you’ll find Sam’s JustGiving website here.

Window Ware is rightly proud of its trio of intrepid female fund-raisers, who are giving their time and going out of their comfort zone to give back to society. We think it’s definitely worth shouting about and International Women’s Day 2020 has given us the perfect opportunity to celebrate these strong, determined women and support them in their cause.

We hope their efforts create a ripple effect of positive action! So, if you decide you want to make a difference in your community too – either by donating or doing your own thing for charity – then we encourage you to get involved and spread the feel-good factor!
