Top Trends for 2015 - More Style, More Security

15 January 2015

2014 was a fantastic year for the fenestration industry, with estimated growth for the year currently standing at 3.9%. In 2015, it is predicted that the industry will enjoy a further growth of 4.4%.

Having run a trade counter since 1987, at Window Ware we have always been able to keep in touch with consumers, as well as hearing about all the latest developments in the industry from our fabricator base. Throughout 2014, we’ve noticed a number of market trends, which has given us a good idea of what to expect in 2015.

With continued improvements in energy efficiency, and security; PVCu doors and windows still remain a hugely popular choice. However, consumers are certainly more knowledgeable and are requesting something a little more high-end than the standard white PVCu products. From high security door locks, to pull handles, 2015 will likely see many products introduced that aim to make PVCu doors and windows look a little bit more refined.

Home security has become an increasing concern for many, and we can safely expect this trend to continue in 2015. In particular, manufacturers are looking to provide solutions to the sort of crude techniques used by criminals to gain entry through PVCu doors and windows. At Window Ware, we stock a range of kitemarked, anti-bump cylinders that are also resistant to drilling, snapping and picking.

No matter where the market is headed in 2015, you can rest assured that Window Ware will always have exactly what you need to satisfy your customers. We are always expanding our range with the latest hardware and products, including composite doorsets, and we go to great lengths to ensure that our service is as streamlined and efficient as possible.

In 2014, we introduced a new Warehouse Management System (WMS). Using scanners and other technologies, we have been able to greatly enhance the speed and accuracy of our deliveries. As a result, throughout the year, we managed to achieve an On Time and In Full (OTIF) rating of 99.5% on our most frequently ordered products.

Our plan for 2015 is to continue to stock everything fabricators and installers will ever need, and to deliver products on time, all the time.
