Record 2000 days without Lost Time Injury

Celebrated

Understandably, the Coronavirus is occupying all our minds with negative thoughts at the moment, so it’s hard to find reasons to be positive. But at Window Ware, we’re determined to keep our spirits up by celebrating our latest achievement of 2000 trading days with no Lost Time Injuries (LTI). This continues our unblemished record of protecting staff and ensuring the safety of every single colleague.

This is a phenomenal feat, especially given the fact that our warehouse teams routinely handle large, heavy shipments and work with all kinds of potentially dangerous machinery such as forklifts and packaging machines which support them in their work.

We reckon, this excellent health and safety record comes down to clear awareness and communication of H&S across ALL departments, as well as robust processes that identify, manage and minimise risk to co-workers and site visitors alike. What’s more, our proactive staff are a responsible, highly trained crew and they know that a safe, healthy workplace is everyone’s job. With their eagle eyes and strong accountability, potential hazards are spotted quickly and dealt with effectively!

Window Ware’s MD, Sam Nuckey is immensely proud of the whole team. She adds, “I’d like to say a special thank you to our H&S ambassadors Dave Harris and Tracy Bell for championing our H&S efforts with the help of our army of H&S committee members, past and present. Well done all and keep up the great work!”

Official celebrations have been postponed till the Coronavirus is safely behind us. But in the meantime, every employee received a well-deserved chocolate bar. No one was left out, as celebratory goodies were chosen on Facetime and posted out to all those colleagues currently working from home! It just goes to show you can always join in the fun and stay connected wherever your team is working.
