soudal product test

At Window Ware staff members occasionally get to try new products and last week I was given a uPVC cream cleaner and a Glass Cleaner from well-known brand Soudal to try.

It’s a tough gig as our current products are well-liked. It was though good timing as we’ve just had some building work done at home and it would give me a chance to try them side by side.

So on my french doors I needed to clean off builders dust, tile adhesive, a five-year old’s footmarks, hand prints .... you name it. So the new product was a cream cleaner which didn’t immediately wash over as easily as the solvent cleaner. It also left a residue the following day however it felt kinder to the uPVC and to my hands than the solvent cleaner.

Then the glass; first side using our current product, great result as usual. Second side using the new product.... it certainly squirted our in more of a shot than a spray which initially put me off but after that everything else was the same as our existing product. Not much between them then ... until the following morning when I swear the one done with the new product actually ‘glinted’ in the weak morning sun.

One test doesn’t a new product bring so we’d be interested in your thoughts. If you want to get a free sample get in touch and write your review on twitter in 3 words - I do like a challenge!

Here are my three word-ers:

uPVC Cream Cleaner: Swipe, wipe, done

Glass Cleaner: Glinting speckless finish
