Xpert Hand Saws

When it comes to choosing the perfect plastic-cutting saw, it’s definitely all in the teeth, and our star new product from Xpert is sporting an ideal set of gnashers!

The just-landed Xpert PVCu Saw has small, piranha-like teeth that deliver a quick, controlled and even cut through plastic with a straight, pristine edge that is free of burrs or chips. The long 580mm or 20” blade provides ample reach to happily slice through sizeable PVCu products such as fascia and soffits. It serves as a capable big brother to the Xpert fine-toothed Toolbox saw, which has been part of our tools range for several years to become a firm favourite among professional window fitters. Though both saws offer comparable cutting performance, the toolbox variant has a smaller blade which is perfectly sized to give accurate cuts in window trims and sills. All in all, the Xpert Toolbox and PVCu Saws form a highly effective double-act to make quick work of cutting frequently-used plastic building materials.

From a plastic piranha to a timber tiger, our second newcomer, the Xpert Builders Saw, boasts some voracious teeth to slice through all kinds of soft and hard wood building products including chipboard, tongue and groove, plywood and more. The long 560mm / 22” hard-point blade lets you cut further with each stroke and ensures excellent durability and retained sharpness.

Both the Xpert PVCu Saw and the Xpert Builders Saw have rubberised, ergonomic handles to give improved comfort and a sure grip. The ruler printed along the top edge of the blade provides a convenient, quick-measuring solution for lengths up to a 400mm when you don’t have your tape measure handy.
